What is the Cloud Library?
The 3M Cloud Library is an innovative approach to eBook lending in libraries. This service allows users to access books in their library across multiple devices, much like many retail based services. The Cloud Library is designed to be seamless and intuitive with an end-to-end eBook discovery experience. All Wyoming libraries share the collection and titles are purchased on an ongoing basis.
The Cloud Library works with both PC and Mac operating systems (Mac software was made available on January 2d, 2013). Multiple types of eReaders and mobile devices also work with the service. At the present time, standard Kindles are not compatible but the Kindle Fire is compatible.
The Cloud Library went live on July 2, 2012.
